A clip capturing some moments from the scratch performances of Best Festival Ever: How To Manage A Disaster by Boho feat Applespiel at the Battersea Arts Centre in November 2012.
Best Festival Ever is an interactive performance taking place around a tabletop, in which audiences are invited to construct and then manage their own music festival, dealing with everything from choosing bands and sponsors to managing artists, setting up stages, dealing with weather and resolving crises. The show explores and highlights concepts from complex systems science such as interconnectivity, emergence, tipping points, thresholds and resilience.
Best Festival Ever is a work by Australian science-theatre ensemble Boho Interactive, featuring members of Applespiel. This development phase of the project took place in London through a residency at the Environment Institute of University College London, in partnership with Coney, the Battersea Arts Centre and Tipping Point UK.
The creative team behind Best Festival Ever is David Finnigan, David Shaw, Rachel Roberts, Nikki Kennedy and Nathan Harrison.
Filmed by Tassos Stevens and edited by Sam Burns-Warr.
Boho is supported by the Australia Council for the Arts Inter-Arts Board.
