EZIA Human Performance uses the Yo-Yo Intermittent test to get a “true” reading on our client’s fitness levels. It helps give us a baseline of your Endurance (ESP) and how we can create the most individualized program possible with your goals and safety in mind! The Yo-Yo intermittent recovery test evaluates an individual’s ability to repeatedly perform intense exercise. The Yo-Yo test focuses on the capacity to carry out intermittent exercise leading to a maximal activation of the aerobic system. Essentially the distance ran is a repeated 40m (2 x 20m) shuttle run with a recover period of 10 meters walked in 10 seconds between stages.
