There are two pretty well hidden couloirs at South Face of Dent du Salantin. Both are facing south (east) with big walls above them making them very avalanche prone. Window for skiing these couloirs in good, stable snow is pretty narrow.
After Saturdays run at South Couloir we decided to go for the Tete des Sereines SE-couloir. Forecast was looking good with really low temperatures and a bit of wind. Don't know if this couloir has been skied or not, at least there's no information about it. If somebody's interested, our grading for this 450-500 meter couloir is 5.1. E2. We were able to ski it from the top without rappels. Top part was a bit tricky with steep rocky slope. After that it was pure fun!
Again our Bearded Vulture friends (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bearded_Vulture) were following our adventures. Truly a special day! Special conditions allow for special adventures! Great day with Henkka and Pekka!
