This is a presentation by Helen Christians. She gives a review of an international medical team’s three-week experience at St Francis Hospital, Katete, Zambia. She emphasizes similarities with USA medical treatment of the 1960s along with the positive aspects of dedicated medical professionals in a country racing into the 21st century. Helen received her master's degree in occupational therapy from Texas Women's University in 1983. She has been an occupational therapist at the Oregon Burn Center at Legacy Emanual Hospital for over 25 years. In 2011, she was invited by the American Burn Association to join a medical team traveling to St Francis Hospital in Katete, Zambia. Helen is happily married to Al Christians, the coordinator of readings for HGP.
