Wild Card Producer/Editor/Rider Kurt Jenson spent his formative video production years making "Snowboarding Movies with a Plot" under the company Sound Strait Productions. Starting in 2000 with "The Temple" Kurt and SSP Co-founder Eric Brandt found them selves on a 5 movie journey through Snowboarding Cinema in an attempt to deliver more than just riding shots and music. The goal was to get the viewer invested into a comedy story line as well as characters to create an experience that was entertaining to even the non-snowboard enthusiast. When Sound Strait ended in 2006, Kurt continued to carry this formula into the Wild Card collaboration and this skit element can be seen in the 3 features released by Wild Card. This skit element was rooted in Sound Strait and now we want to remember this element of our films by rolling out these old Skits/Riding segments every weekend. Hope you can enjoy these classics and laugh, and even recognize some riders that are still living the skit/riding legacy in Wild Card Films today who started out with Sound Strait in the early days. Enjoy folks!
