These villagers call themselves the forgotten community. We walked an hour after the road ended to get here. We spoke with Eskia, 35, who said, "Now, this water looks plenty... this is because of the showers. Normally, the yield is very low, 25 jerry cans per day." That's only 125 gallons for 500 people.
Because of the funds raised during the 2008 September Campaign, a water project has been built in Mai Keshi Village. The people here now have clean, safe drinking water.
