A short and sweet animation I made during my second day's work experience with the Brothers McLeod this month, using Adobe Flash.
There's a story behind this: As Greg had been working on his personal project '365', which involves producing a second of animation for every day of the year and exporting a finished video at the end of each month, he suggested I animate a second as well. Stuck for inspiration, I thought of my favourite Japanese meal which I was about to have later that week; roast pork ramen! After googling images, I came across the food known as Kamaboko, a steamed fish cake often found in ramen dishes. I then remembered I had a badge in the shape of a Kamaboko with a smiley face on it, so that's where the inspiration for this little character came from.
Finally, I was reminded of the Studio Ghibli film 'Ponyo' and how the main character yells 'ham!' a lot, because she just loves ham!
