Indigenous Gunditjmara woman Eloise Saunders is one of five people living in the Glenelg Shire chosen to participate in the United Way Glenelg project 'Local Eyes'. For this project, participants were asked to document a typical day in their life through photography. Mother of four, Eloise livesa in Portland. Her typical day revolves around her children.
The aim of the project is to get a glimpse of our community through quite different lenses, i.e. the unique perspectives of individuals within United Way’s community.
Eloise's photographs and photo-story will be on exhibition in Portland in March 2013.
Eloise met up with ABC Open (Larissa Romensky) to reflect on her photographs and to record a story about a 'typical' day for her.
This story is now part of ABC Open's 'Day in a Life' project- an online gallery of stories from Regional Australia.
