Iris, who is rather non-technical, tested the admin overlay and current D7 "special version" from the google repository.
Iris manages a Drupal site I set up for her on her own where she offers portrait drawing and painting as a service. She performs simple content editing tasks there. Since I gave her only very limited access to admin items on her site, being confronted with the full-blown admin section is a new experience for her.
Some of the problems with orientation originated in holding the interview in english and having an english interface. The words "edit" or "add" were not intuitively appealing. So next time I will write a "help-text" consisting of a piece of paper that holds exactly there words.
Usability problems consisting of a foreign language are not part of the drupal interface and should be minimized in order not to distort the impression.
