A Canadian Military team and a parliamentary team held a scrimmage hockey game on the Canal in Ottawa, Ont. Sunday Feb 10, 2013. The Imjin Classic took place on the Ottawa Canal to commemorate the original games played on the frozen Imjin River during the Korean War in the winters of 1952 and 53. The Imjin River flows from North to South that crossed the Demilitarized Zone of Korea. In the end, the tournament ended in a tie. The year 2013 marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations with South Korea. the Jinju Art and Culture Foundation and Jinju City brought this unique and highly colourful experience to Canadians. They created a spectacular 35 m (115 ft) long tunnel, composed of over 1,300 lanterns in Confederation Park this winter.
