This is a photo presentation of the Rossi family that originated from Reppia (Liguria), Italy. The family lineage depicted in the presentation starts with Guiseppe and Gulia (Savori) Rossi (circa 1860), then to their two sons Antonio and Angelo Rossi (who's son Angelo later became the Mayor of San Francisco from 1931-1943), then to Guiseppe (son of Antonio) and Chiara (Rao of Moneglia, Liguria, Italy) Rossi (1929 immigrants to the USA ) who settled in San Francisco, and on to their five children Antonio, Paula, John, Dino, and Louise (oldest to youngest), and finally onto the their most recent generation of children and grandchildren who all hail from the SF Bay Area. Antonio (Tony) Rossi eventually became the Mayor of Milbrae, CA, while Dino became the Captain of the Matson Lines luxury cruise liner, the Lurline. Paula Porter (Rossi) owned and operated the Tiburon (CA) Turntable music store for many years, while Louise Longo (Rossi) taught in the SF School District for several years. John Rossi (married to Florence Gulli), who was also a teacher for 27 years in the Orinda/Moraga (CA) school district, passed away on February 10, 2012, at 93 years old - the last of his brothers and sisters.
