To facilitate the progressive installation of an integrated cladding system to a 20 plus storey building.
The Construction programme required the cladding to be installed progressively with the progress of the concrete floors being constructed. This meant there was no hook time from crane or the possibility of bringing in an independent crane. So a mono rail winch system was devised to be cantilevered from the floor to the perimeter of the building and leap-frogged with the progress of the main structure.
This system was installed in tandem with customised restraint systems to ensure that the cladding panels were not unduly affected by gusts of wind as they were raised or transported along the mono rail.
