Kazik and the Kommander’s Car is the true story of a Polish boy scout’s daring escape from Auschwitz and the song it inspired. Kazik Piechowski escaped from Auschwitz in June 1942, disguised as an SS officer, and in the xamp commandant's car. The film documents the singer Katy Carr's first meeting with Kazik in his hometown in Gdansk, Poland, where she presents him with her tribute song "Kommander's Car" and hears his story in his own words.
