To be highly successful in the photography industry there are two components required to rise above general competitors. Camera ability and selling ability. If you lack the selling ability necessary it won't matter how skilled you are with a camera. Your success will be short lived. If you have exceptional communication skills and a clear understanding how to help your customer achieve their goals your camera skills can be average or below and you can grow to become successful in a relatively short period of time.
Part of how you differentiate your work far beyond a general competitor is to understand the customer inquiring about your services. There sits the key to unlocking the uniqueness and creativity of your work, a dramatic increase in your income and the level of confidence that your clients will place in you when they hire you.
