A collection of shots from a weekend at the Gold Coast, in Queensland. Exploring timelapse shot on the Blackmagic Cinema Camera with firmware 1.2, though large chunks of this footage were shot at normal speed and sped up in post.
Graded and edited in FCP X. Nearly all shot in Prores, with a few shots in Raw (the first few) processed through Resolve first. Aiming to strike a balance between softness and contrast, no added sharpening. There are so many ways to push this, though. The 10-bit color depth of ProRes offers so much flexibility, it simply doesn't show any banding at all. Noise can be seen in low light, but it's not objectionable.
Shot mostly on the Sigma 17-50, with a few longer shots on the Tamron 28-75. The music is Sovereign, by Kevin MacLeod of incompetech.com. Comments welcome.
