The reference to Eric Scott was hommage paid to Eric Scott (Day For Night), who created NoelCrane.com -- an insider's wink to the many ways in which J.J. Abrams' first television series referenced the grey line between fiction and reality... which in many ways was part of the top-line viral marketing strategy (aka, Day For Night's numerous "Internet Theatre" campaigns) which characterized the lack of division between the content presented by the medium (television) and the observing medium itself (web) back in 1998.
