A live showcase by The Hip Hop Shakespeare Company, a London 2012 Inspire Mark/Cultural Olympiad project, hosted “Hip Hop Shakespeare Live" at London's premiere arts venue, the Southbank Centre as part of the Cultural Olympiad's Open Weekend (25/7/09).
MOBO award winning Hip Hop artist Akala hosted and performed a medley of reinterpreted scenes/themes/quotes from famed Shakespeare plays alongside undiscovered young talent with special guests Colin Salmon & Ms. Dynamite!
With THSC having only been launched in February 2009, hundreds of people turned up for an evening of public performance and audience participation!
