On December 19, 2012, Institute 193 presented a concert by the cellist and vocalist Ben Sollee at the Lexington Opera House in Lexington, Kentucky. The artists/musicians Anna + Elizabeth played an opening act featuring an illustrated "crankie" scroll, and designed a detailed shadow puppet stage set with a team of Virginia-based artists. The acclaimed Alabama artist and musician Lonnie Holley joined the performance as a special guest.
