As a world traveler, Beth Tucker was forever moved when she saw the very young and the very old alike, caring for infants in AIDS-wracked villages in Africa. Back home in Flagstaff, as the former Director of an extension program at Arizona State University, Beth worked at developing pioneering social projects in her own hometown. One of her last endeavors was to help develop a "coaching" program meant to assist grandparents who find themselves raising grandchildren when parents, for one reason or another, are not in the picture anymore, either temporarily or permanently. And with Arizona's high incarceration rate (#6 in the country) it is a challenge that needs a champion.
