This is one of my first short films, and it was shot back when I was in college. Gina Hick was the cinematographer and I wrote, directed and edited. I still think Erik Maahs is charming in his little silent film role and I really enjoyed hearing the music that Matt Nims put together for the film again.

For me the goal was to shoot FILM, and edit on FILM, because that's what real filmmakers used.

This was a long time ago.

It was shot in a day using a wind up bolex with 100' daylight spools. I know that I borrowed a tape splicer and cut the film. I can't remember whether I tape spliced a one light print and had Andy Pratt conform it or whether I just cut the negative and had it printed or whether I just took the tape spliced short to festivals.
