ISCRI showreel 2021

Work in progress, examples of some of the animation prototyping by the 0rphan Drift art team for the ISCRI 0rphan Drift and Etic Lab collaboration, partnered by the Serpentine Gallery, London's Creative AI Lab.

ISCRI is an experiment in communication between two distributed consciousnesses (AI and an octopus), mediated by humans.

The art works in the showreel are based on cephalopod cognition research by Etic Lab and 0rphan Drift, imagination and interspecies communication by Maggie Roberts (0rphan Drift lead artist) and Anna Breytenbach. Soundtrack compiled from 0rphan Drift's 2019 'If AI were Cephalopod' and 2020 'Becoming Octopus Meditations'.
