It's official....we made it. MOPAT: Oaxaca has finally begun, and we are off to the races. With eyes wide open, stomachs willing, and 2 days of being held back in the "gates," we are ready to take on Huatulco as we link up with our local crew, and head towards la Crucecita.
La Crucetia offered a plethora of shopping and dining options, but if authentic Oaxacan cuisine is what you seek than look no further than El Sabor de Oaxaca, and if a more casual dining experience with some beautiful seafood is what you crave, then El Grillo Marinero has you covered.
It's fantastic, we get our first taste of Oaxaca, and it doesn't disappoint. We start our day with trying some simple breakfast items like salsa en huevos and a plate of chilaquiles with some fresh quesillo, and then moved into some fantastically fresh seafood a la marinera.
After 21 hours of flying, driving, and filming, day 1 was jam packed, but we still have plenty to see and do, so stay tuned!
