The first project of the Digital Effects course at Bournemouth University. The aim was to take a "dry" backplate, convert it into a "wet" underwater aquascape and integrate a 3D artefact into the scene. This was done using basic techniques and matching elements by eye.

Backplate is a photo taken of a rock formation at Highcliffe beach and the artefact chosen is a Thunderbird 4 model.

Key skills learnt include: colour grading, modelling, compositing and camera matching.
Softwares used: Nuke, Houdini and GIMP
