I've developed my maya fluids knowledge so I now understand temperature and fuel properly! As well as learning a great deal about all of the value settings within a maya fluids container.
This piece was simulated using one 3D container with a volume axis to help drive the turbulence of the fire, at a base resolution of 100. I also used the grid auto re-size feature, which is very useful for optimising your test simulation and final simulation time.
Render was taken into Nuke for colour correction, as I felt the original render was a bit washed out and slightly over exposed.
