Linda Beilharz has now travelled over the four major icecaps of the world.
After successful trips to the South Pole and North Pole and Greenland Linda has crossed the South Patagonian Icecap.
This was a spectacular, if difficult journey with long climbs up and off the icecap.
The glacier at the end required careful navigation and one day they travelled only a few hundred metres.
To be the first Australian woman to do this is an achievement. Linda has been recognised in part for her work with Womens Heath, and also her icecap journeys which inspire others. Linda is Bendigo Citizen of the year and also been recognised with an Order of Australia.
