Building a multi-tenant distributed SQL database for mixed, distinct workloads is full of architectural and operational challenges. How to pin tenant workloads and resource congestion to selected compute resources such that a single tenant taking up significant amount of resources does not affect the SLAs of other tenants? In this presentation, I will discuss how Klarrio leveraged YugabyteDB geo-replication to achieve robust SQL workload isolation in the KPN Data Services Hub - a multi-tenant container based architecture.
