The single greatest threat to the climate comes from burning coal. Coal-fired power generation is historically responsible for most of the CO2 in the air today - about half of all carbon dioxide emissions globally.
Yet the UK government is planning a new generation of dirty coal plants. The first will be at Kingsnorth in Kent. If built it will emit more CO2 annually than the 25 least polluting countries in the world combined.
Thousands of people have signed the Big If pledge to take direct action to stop Kingsnorth - in this video some of them tell Climate secretary Ed Miliband exactly why, and what they propose to do. It will be arriving on his desk very shortly...
Join us - take the Big If pledge today and tell Ed what action you will take to protect our climate.
