Richard Weller at IUCN 2021

In this brief presentation, Richard Weller explains how global conservation targets relate to urban growth and land management and he presents a case study for the city of Bogota and the novel idea of creating a world park so as to galvanize and integrate conservation efforts at a planetary scale.

Weller is professor and chair in the Department of Landscape Architecture, the Meyerson Chair of Urbanism, and a co-executive director of The Ian L. McHarg Center for Urbanism and Ecology at Weitzman.
