In this video, Danish potter Anne Mette Hjortshøj is shown making her oval teapots at her studio on the island of Bornholm, off the coast of Denmark. She discuses the the pot's form, the importance of using stamps and the kiln together in decorating its surface, and her love of their individually picked willow handles.
Anne Mette Hjortshøj is a young Danish potter with a rare talent and we are delighted to be able to represent her. Our documentary, filmed on the island of Bornholm where Anne Mette has her studio, was so well received that the Danish Queen, a keen collector or ceramics herself, soon visited Anne Mette after the show in person to see her workplace.
