While studying the Question of Beauty last semester we were asked to write a short piece relating to beauty or a sensory moment. The texts were then anonymously redistributed to the class who was then required to formally respond to the received text.

This film deals with the sensory experience of walking through memories and the culminating frustrations resulting from fading pathways within the neurological system over time and through disuse. At the time of the assignment my family had recently viewed our family home movies for the first time. My Grandfather narrated and filmed our familial life over two generations, and it was from this compendium of footage that I chose to work.

On my website, rebekahdueck.com, you will find the text I responded to.
