For AV Festival 12, Susan Stenger presented ‘The Structures of Everyday Life: Full Circle’, a newly commissioned sound installation that was installed at the Newcastle Civic Centre entrance dome. Stenger also participated in live performances and discussions throughout the Festival, including a live performance within ‘Full Circle’ with Attila Csihar. She co-curated our tribute evening to John Cage, and performed Cage’s ‘Ryoanji’ and Wada’s ‘Lament of John Cage’ with other artists.
In this exclusive interview she talks about her involvement with the Festival and the development of the Festival commission, ‘The Structures of Everyday Life: Full Circle’.
