The WSOR business train with an EMD E9A as power, runs across the bridge spanning the Kishwaukee River just south of Rockford, Illinois. The Wisconsin Southern ran this train south out of Janesville, Wisconsin to Davis Junction, Illinois were it made the turn on the wye to begin the westbound portion of its journey to Kansas. (Also reported as enroute to OKlahoma.)

I elected to make a bit of a snowy hike to this spot to get away from the large chase crowd. And carried only one video camera with me to ease the trek. A super day with undisturbed snow on the ground; a calm river, light winds and temperatures in the upper twenties.

A more conventional video of the train pulling into Davis Junction is here:

Camera settings: GoPro Hero3 Black, 1080p/60, Narrow, Protune Off, Auto white balance, Skeleton case. Note that with the GoPro set at "narrow" field of view and positioned a bit away from the subject, the barrel distortion is basically gone.
