A one minute test of my ill-fated flirtation with the DSLR Panasonic Lumix GH1.

An excellent camera in both operation and quality.

My model, which has been returned, drops frames in lumps of 6 - 10 at a time. A consistent problem with 1080,less so in 720 SH. The dropped frame condition seemed to apply in prinicpal to long shots. My camera is/was PAL configured. ( NOV '09: I am given good reason to believe that this fault has been overcome with a recent firmware update.)

The one minute film was taken with the stock lens (14mm to 140mm) at 720 SH setting.

A prime lens is by all accounts essential.
