Design Vision was commissioned to produce an educational video about the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Cognitive Evolution Group's effort to construct a world class facility for observation of chimpanzee cognitive development. We worked in close collaboration with Professor Daniel J. Povinelli (Cognitive Evolution Group Director) to develop a convincing and compelling portrayal of the future facility. Our role was to create a 3D model of the facility while developing and refining the conceptual design, render walk through animations which conveyed the essential functions of the facility, and produce a final video to be delivered via the internet and DVD.

NATIONAL CHIMPANZEE OBSERVATORY NETWORK
We are excited to be partners in the construction of the first National Chimpanzee Observatory, which is being constructed by a consortium of scientists, policy-makers, and concerned citizens dedicated to creating a network of naturalistic observatories to prevent the imminent extinction of chimpanzees in captivity and preserve them for future behavioral and cognitive study. The Observatory will be a naturalistic setting for the Cognitive Evolution Group's chimpanzees, as well as other apes, and will serve as a state-of-the-art educational facility and behavioral research center where scientists from around the world can observe and study these rare and important animals.
