Animation for Fall 2012 SCIFI studio at SCIArc
An attempt to increase density and improve pedestrian and mass transit experiences in Los Angeles, this project uses logics of aggregation to create leaning piles that serve as the base of the intervention. These leaning forms create an over/under condition that separates public or private terraces and pedestrian circulation on the top from the service, parking and automotive circulation on the underside.
This animation shows the existing condition and phases of building, then the new topography and hardscape, followed by the route of the new Exposition rail line and a zoning diagram. Ends with a rotated Axonometric view.
