For many women, the early symptoms of ovarian cancer are relatively obscure: abdominal discomfort, bloating, or pressure; changes in urinary or bowel habits, or vaginal spotting-- leading some to refer to this disease as "the whisper." Some whisper. Each year, nearly15,000 women will die from ovarian cancer, making it the deadliest form of gynecological cancer. This documentary, hosted by ovarian cancer survivor and activist Sharon Blynn, explores the diagnosis, treatment, and research advances of ovarian cancer, and empowers women to take steps that could save their own lives through earlier diagnosis.
