Mountain Meitheal, the Irish volunteer trail repair group, carried out a major renovation project on an old hunting path used by Charles Stewart Parnell. It gains access from Glen Malure to Lugnaquilla, the highest mountain in Leinster. The work was undertaken in partnership with the farmer who owns the land. It also involved diverting the route from stepping stones in front of an old cottage and building an access bridge behind it. Volunteers spent many months building this bridge from scratch. Extremely well built, It survived the fierce storms and landslides in September 2011. This short film is made from a montage of photos and short video clips taken by Mountain Meitheal members on their digital photo cameras.
