This is the first place winning entry to the 2013 Student Television Network's Sweet 16 short film festival contest. We had 16 hours to produce, direct, film, edit, and export our story! This year's topic was "My Future's So Bright, I Gotta Wear Shades." The prop was SUNGLASSES!!!

Plot synopsis (spoiler alert!): Jake Robert Williams, a high school boy, has come to the breakpoint with his alcoholic and abusive father. Jake's mother died giving birth to him, so begins a journal to her and runs away from home with his best friend Jonah. The two boys explore Los Angeles and try to have fun and forget about Jake's troubles. Unknowingly, Jake's father has been trying to reach Jake and ask for forgiveness. It is Jonah who brings the father and son back together and make's Jake's future brighter.
