In the aftermath of her house party, MARISSA'S brother, TOMMY discovers he’s been robbed. With their livelihood threatened, Tommy attempts to recuperate his stolen property and, despite his sister's pleas, seeks revenge on the culprit. As the siblings grow increasingly at odds Marissa finds comfort in a friendly flirtation with her co-worker JACKIE. But, when Marissa brings Jackie back to her house, she finds her brother and his thug friends have turned her home into a hostage situation and their fragile relationship disintegrates into a war of wills. In the end, brother and sister learn a universal truth everyone discovers at the twilight of adolescence – that those who appear to be the strongest are often hurting the most and those we thought could be bullied...they end up taking matters into their own hands.
