This project with a sound track designed by Alvin Curran was commissioned by Kristen Jones for a summer solstice dusk to dawn event taking place on the Tiber River.Various artists and composers were curated to work together to make this event happen. It had to be done rather quickly and involved ideas around the theme of wolves in Rome's history and it had to be a loop. I chose the Romulous and Remus myth and the moment of their rescue. I love this story about twins as I am a twin and it gave me a different idea of how to approach it. I asked Masha Vasilkovsky if she wanted to work with me. We had a great time and together I think made something that joined how we best work together. The version here is against the stone wall during the day as it was originally made with a black background to project on the wall on that night of the event. I loved how the composer put the various sound elements together. We didn't know what he was going to do until we heard the final version.
