The frames in this video were generated by performing the Newton's method iteration 200 times. on the complex plane for the third Jacobian theta function ϑ3(z,q), for |q| = 0.90190165617299947 or thereabouts. The code that was used to generate this is discussed in this stackexchange thread: stackoverflow.com/questions/10135845/acceleration-of-theta-function-evaluation-for-newtons-method-fractal-generation (thanks, Cgull, for the optimization!)
The render is somewhat broken (I don't know what those two horizontal lines are, or if the computation is accurate outside of them, but the rectangle in the center is correct.
