The borehole wells shown are part of the Zambia Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) campaign. This initiative includes building and rehabilitating clean water sources, constructing latrines (especially at schools) and training communities on improved hygiene.
Since 1980, World Vision has helped provide clean water and improved sanitation to more than 10 million people. In fiscal year 2008, individuals, corporations, and foundations in the United States supported
World Vision water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) projects in more than 20 countries.
