This video tries to explain, in a simple and entertaining way, the project for the final dissertation of the Postgraduate Master in Digital Architecture (IUAV University of Venice_2011/2012). Deltabot is a parallel robot built and programmed in order to simulate and, therefore, comprehend the complex robots used in industrial design and architecture for experimental projects.
This video is also about the effort we put into it, having to start from zero both in programming language and mechanics.
Deltabot builds a small wall using Arduino and Processing to solve the direct and inverse kinematics and gets the coordinates of the centres of each element from Grasshopper.
