The modern world saturates us with images it defines as beautiful.
Today our guest speaker Bryan Boone unpacks the powerful and gospel image of true beauty found in Ezekiel 16.
In this chapter God deals with His chosen people and their conduct towards Him. This is described through the parable of an exposed infant rescued from death, educated, embraced, and richly provided for, but afterwards is guilty of selfish, reckless conduct, and punished for it; yet at last she is received into God's favor, and she becomes ashamed of her corrupt conduct.
The design of this imagery is created to raise hatred to our idolatry, and as such is a valuable parable for us today as we continue our study of 3 ways to live the Christian Life: the Religious, Irreligious and Gospel.
