Love Mason hired Michael Acres of Shoestring Concerts to record our recent show at House of Blues, Voodoo Lounge in West Hollywood, California. It was a special night, with our friend Scooter Oyama on lead guitar for the first time.
Michael did a great job considering the many obstacles with which he was presented, including no large cameras, no conspicuous recording equipment, and a stage with a wooden pillar running down the middle! He mounted one camera above and to the left of the stage, held one camera below and to the right, and our friend Jordan Moorman was assigned to hold a third camera in front of the stage.
The sound was recorded via board, camera mic, and a couple of strategically placed microphones. The tracks were mastered by Matt Lynch of Mysterious Mammal Recording, then synced with the video, which Michael also edited.
Though written on acoustic guitar, over the years this song has achieved its fullest expression performed live/electric with a band.
