The Moebius Queue is a movie inspired by arbitrariness of the chilean bureaucracy. Public administration is a system where nepotism, contacts and influence do a major difference for the user.
Is this a situation we can find almost everywhere?
The shortfilm is an allegory about the time-space continnum, based on the Möbius Strip. The sequences are inspired by iteration and some of its representatives: Bach, Gödel and Escher.
I dedicated the movie to my grandmother, who inspired the story, she was very sick and about to die, when we queued together in the bank some years ago, I felt the queue was like a wormhole draging people into it. I feel for people who are taking the system just as it is. Fighting is way to hard. It becomes an everyday endeavour. I just play my own tricks not to queue ever again.
