While working as a puppeteer on the Puphedz project, I broached the subject of creating a "making of" as an added value for the upcoming DVD. At the time, Puphedz creator Jürgen Heimann wasn't interested and the matter was dropped.
A few months later, Puphedz producer Ryan Vaniski contacted me and asked if I was still interested in creating that behind the scenes look at the process. I said yes and away we went!
Setting up shop at Jürgen's place, we began to capture as much of the process as we could. For the interviews, Jürgen had the idea that we capture them at un-opportune times and ask them questions about the project. This is why you see Jürgen shaving, making breakfast and changing a tire while Mark is caught at an ATM. Not entirely behind this idea, I asked that some of the questions be asked in a more dedicated environment. We ended up using both versions to appease everyone.
Once the project was cut down and polished, Ryan gave me a big THANKS in the end credits. I didn't see this until the DVD was shipped. It was a pleasant surprise and very much appreciated. Thanks, Ryan!
