Hello again, my name is Duane Cash. I am an iOS developer working on a project to produce a mind-controlled virtual assistant on the iPhone called MindGear.
Using a brainwave-reading device and a custom offline Siri API, I am controlling a variety of features on the iPhone. After an initial introduction with Siri, I am able to open and close menu, select items in the menu, play a video, call a contact, play and stop music, and open and close a map.
The EEG headset allows me to use mental commands to perform these functions by interpreting the brainwave patterns into actions to be performed on the smartphone. This is only the beginning. The MindGear software will take advantage of this technology to change the way we interact with our devices. The amazing software suite will expand tremendously in the near future to take advantage of every important feature in the iPhone.
This application is running on an iPhone that is not jailbroken and does not use a Siri-Proxy. I have figured out a way to create a API of my own to work with Siri.
Just think...If you could control your iPhone or intelligent personal assistant with your mind, what would you make it do?
By harnessing the power of the brain, MindGear will unlock a deeper cognitive integration with your smartphone.
(PLEASE NOTE: This is an independent project of my own that is not connected with any projects that I am working on at my work.)
