This is a none scientific test I conducted when I first laid my hands on the new Panasonic GH3.
I wanted to compare it with my 5D MarkIII, the results of which obviously were a bit of an embarrassment to the 5D.
Throughout my years of using Canon cameras and lenses, I realized that the sharpest lens I have is the 70-200mm f:2.8 LII. So I thought let's put that beast against its GH3 equivalent...
Both cameras were shooting at the flatest native profile with (-5) Sharpness (-5) Contrast (-2) Color
Very basic S curve grading was applied to bring the contrast back basically as well as sharpening.

Canon 5D MarkIII
Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II

Panasonic GH3
Panasonic 35-100mm f/2.8 Lumix G Vario

Cameras Setup:
Focal length 70mm
Iso 200
Shutter speed 1/50th
25 FPS

Of course Vimeo compression might not offer the most accurate quality representation. But still the difference is pretty clear to me. And this test will give you an impression on how your videos will look like in vimeo on both cameras.
