On August 22, 2009, I took my amazing grandmother, Sherrey Glickman, down to Storycorps in lower Manhattan and interviewed her. Grandma is the most amazing woman I know. She has overcome so much in her eighty-five years, including the death of two great loves and countless friends and family members. Still, her disposition is the sunniest of anyone I know. A few years ago, she overcame a serious brain tumor. Despite the fact that doctors told her she'd never walk again, my grandmother dances her way through life, literally and figuratively. She is gorgeous and groovy, vivacious and tenacious. She is also the rock of my family and the hit of every party. I hope you enjoy her story.
